The few you genuinely need.
A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, color or length. Before recommending any, Dr. Atassi whitens the teeth and, where their position is the problem, aligns them, so that only the teeth that still need porcelain get it.
Most of his cases are two, four or six veneers. Sixteen and twenty are rare. Each one is shaped to your face and layered to the colors of your own teeth, so it does not read as a veneer at all.

Whitening first
The teeth are whitened to the shade you want, so the porcelain is matched to your own teeth rather than the other way round. Where alignment would reduce the number of veneers, it comes before them. - 03
Design

The veneers
Made by one of the two laboratories Dr. Atassi works with, then bonded. A veneer case takes a minimum of about sixteen weeks from the first visit, because whitening and alignment come first.

Every veneer is designed by Dr. Atassi himself.
The shape, the color and the fit are decided by him, tried in your mouth, and refined until the porcelain reads as your own tooth.
“Dr Atassi is a perfectionist and an artist of dentistry. I had a veneer and a crown replaced.”

Questions about veneers.
Not always. Whitening, Invisalign or bonding may be enough, or may come first. If veneers are recommended, you will be told which teeth and why.
Fewer than most people expect. Most of the veneer cases Dr. Atassi does are two, four or six teeth. Whitening and alignment first are what keep the number down.
About sixteen weeks at minimum from the first visit. Whitening takes a few weeks and alignment, where it is part of the plan, takes months. The veneers themselves are made and bonded at the end.
A natural tooth carries six or seven colors, and the porcelain is layered to match them. The shape is designed to your face and tried in before it is bonded, so it is never too wide or too white for you.
As little of the tooth as possible is prepared, and where the tooth allows it, the veneer is bonded with almost no reduction at all. Keeping your own tooth underneath is the point.
It is a different case. Old veneers are removed, what is left of the tooth is examined, and the plan starts again from there. See Veneer Revision.
